The DT Swiss 240 EXP Hub sits in the middle of the DT Swiss range and has become an absolute benchmark for hub performance and reliability over the years. Heavily machined hub flanges provide the optimum geometry for a rim-brake wheel and high quality steel bearings are economical to replace when the time comes.

The DT Swiss 240 EXP Hub features the latest 36 tooth EXP ratchet mechanism for a rapid 10 degrees of engagement and efficient power transfer. Moving the drive side hub bearing inside the inner ratchet improves the bearing alignment, which creates a hub which is 15% stiffer with better long term durability.

An optional 54T Ratchet Upgrade Kit is available to improve engagement further, to just 6.6 degrees.

A reduction in weight of the entire freehub system is made possible by the use of fewer moving parts, while maintaining the easy tool-free maintenance/servicing and freehub body conversions that DT Swiss hubs are renowned for. A new notched end cap design makes disassembly even easier than before. Satin Black powder-coat finish with red DT Swiss logos.

The rim brake DT Swiss 240 EXP Hub is available with QR end caps and two different spoke formats. Straightull hubs provide the best lateral stiffness and the lightest possible wheel builds, and are available in 20 spoke front and 24 spoke rear drilling. J-Bend “classic” hubs are the ideal choice if you are looking for ease of future maintenance with readily available J-Bend spokes, and are available in 20/24 spoke front and 24/28 spoke rear drillings. Shimano 11/12, SRAM XDR or Campagnolo freehub options are available to match your groupset.

These are well sealed hubs which are very easy to service. With no preload adjusters to contend with, they are the very best low-hassle hub on the market today, and perfectly suited to British riding conditions. 20/24 spoke versions are usually in stock.

Riders looking for a lighter, full ceramic hub which is still suitable for the UK should consider the DT Swiss 180 EXP Hub.
