The DT Swiss 180 EXP Hub sits at the top of the DT Swiss range. Heavily machined hub flanges and the use of straight pull spokes make this the lightest pair of hubs ever made by DT Swiss. SiNC Ceramic bearings provide extremely low rolling resistance, with low contact seals on their inner faces to minimise bearing drag.

The DT Swiss 180 EXP Hub features the latest 36 tooth EXP ratchet mechanism for a rapid 10 degrees of engagement and efficient power transfer. Moving the drive side hub bearing inside the inner ratchet improves the bearing alignment, which creates a hub which is 15% stiffer with better long term durability.

An optional 54T Ratchet Upgrade Kit is available to improve engagement further, to just 6.6 degrees.

A reduction in weight of the entire freehub system is made possible by the use of fewer moving parts, while maintaining the easy tool-free maintenance/servicing and freehub body conversions that DT Swiss hubs are renowned for. A new notched end cap design makes disassembly even easier than before. Matt black powder-coated finish with stealthy gloss black DT Swiss logos.

The rim brake DT Swiss 180 EXP Hub is available with QR end caps and a straightpull-only design with a 20 spoke front and 24 spoke rear drilling. Shimano 11/12, SRAM XDR or Campagnolo freehub options are available to match your groupset. If you are looking for a superlight ceramic hub which is still reliable, durable and suited to the British weather, this is it.

Riders looking for a high quality full ceramic hub available in a variety of anodised colours should consider the Chris King R45 Hub.
